About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: scales weighing a charter with the inscription S.P. (Salus populi) against a palm branch with a snake hanging from it, and a lily within the legend. Reverse: the Dutch lion with drawn sword, standing before an altar on which lie a Bible, liberty cap, and palm branch, illuminated by a radiant lily-sun within the legend; incuse: date.
