Obverse: Dutch maiden with a liberty cap on a spear and a caduceus with an olive branch in her hand, standing in a garden; beside her lies a lion with a drawn sword and a bundle of arrows in its claws; in the background a city under bombardment within an inscription; lower section: inscription. Reverse: Dutch maiden with a helmet and a spear with a liberty cap beside her on the ground, kneeling before an altar illuminated by heavenly light, upon which a smoking sacrificial vessel stands; the front of the altar is decorated with an inscription and a bundle of arrows; to the right a dying ox, an empty cornucopia, and four blowing genii within an inscription; lower section: inscription.
