About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: bust of a man within an inscription. Reverse: table upon which an open Bible and a liberty cap lie, entwined by a streamer with an inscription, with a lion on either side; the left one uncrowned with a sword and a spear with a bundle of arrows, the right one crowned with a sword and a spear with two crossed orange branches within an inscription; lower section: inscription.
