About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: portrait of a man with command staff within inscription. Reverse: illuminated by radiant serpent ring containing letter C, Peace, depicted as a standing woman, holds in her left hand an olive branch and two coats of arms bound together with ribbon and with torch in her other hand sets a pile of military equipment on fire; at her feet a cornucopia, in the background a view of the city of Aachen within inscription; edge: inscription.
