Silver medal. Obverse: Holland, depicted as a woman with a liberty cap wrapped with an orange branch in her hand, sits in the Dutch garden among merchandise, with her arm leaning on a burning altar, against which various books stand; in the background battles on land and sea within legend. Reverse: landscape crossed by a river, above which dark clouds still hang; in the foreground stump of an olive tree, from which new shoots have sprouted, on which a dove flies within legend; truncation: date.
