About this work
Lead medal. Obverse: woman with a flute in hand offers fruit on an altar; behind her Time with a scythe and a serpent ring, in which L is written within an inscription; truncation: date. Reverse: tree with a serpent ring, entwined with ears of corn and vines with grape clusters, in the background a view of the city of Leiden; within the serpent ring an inscription within an inscription. In the circle the inscription "SIN CERE", and the inscription: "GAVDIA CONSORTVM SINT SINE FINE". At the bottom the date: 17 20/11 17 and the signature.
