About this work
Silver medal with a hole in it. Obverse: the city of Utrecht, depicted as a crowned woman, stands next to an altar, the base of which is decorated with a liberty cap and the year 1786; on the altar lie a bundle of arrows and parchment; she shows an unrolled paper to three marksmen—an officer, a non-commissioned officer and a citizen—who stand before her and raise their hands to take the oath; in the background, observing marksmen. Reverse: inscription within an oak wreath.
