Silver medal. Obverse: genius with a trumpet, serpent, and olive branch flies on clouds to dispel thunderclouds above a stormy sea; washed up on the shore are a globe, rudder with liberty cap, lyre, Mercury's staff, vat, etc., within an inscription; section: inscription. Reverse: cushion on which lightning bolts lie, placed on a cornerstone, whose sides bear images of a globe surrounded by a ring of clouds, and crossed streamers and trident; above this, sunbeams break through the clouds, part of the zodiac is visible, and Mercury flies with staff and bag; in the background, Triton with a liberty cap, blowing a horn and ships within an inscription; section: inscription.
