Fiftieth anniversary of the Drawing Society 'Hierdoor tot Hooger' in Rotterdam, 1823. Bronze medal. Obverse: young woman, representing Drawing Art, sitting next to two water jugs, holding a coat of arms with the letter L on her lap; at her feet lie a palette, brushes, a half-unrolled drawing, and a compass; behind her a capital against which a measuring rod stands; in the background a three-master and a view of the city of Rotterdam. Reverse: inscription above a compass and pen amidst olive branches.
