About this work

Bronze medal. Obverse: burning altar with a six-pointed star within a laurel wreath on a base; against the altar stand an anchor and the Ten Commandments of Moses, illuminated by heavenly light; at the foot of the altar lies a scroll of the law within an inscription. Reverse: blank field within an olive and oak branch tied into a wreath and an inscription.
