Silver medal. Obverse: bust of a man within an inscription. Reverse: altar with a coat of arms, upon which stands a burning oil lamp; around the altar: globe, inscribed schoolboard, compass, ruler, plumb line, capital of a column, wheel, crucible, alembic, stylus, telescope, staff of Mercury, books, and a half-unrolled piece of parchment within an inscription; section: inscription.
