Obverse: Nature, represented as a statue of Diana of Ephesus with a globe in her right hand and a moon in her left, standing under a palm tree; at her feet: cactus, unrolled parchment, two books, pelican, coat of arms, coiling snake, globe, telescope, galvanic battery, weighing instrument, alembic and crucible within an inscription; cut: inscription; k.z; inscription within an olive and climbing branch wreath.
