About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: Siege of Jerusalem by the king of Assyria, whose soldiers flee from the camp for an angel with a drawn sword within the inscription. Reverse: View of the city of Leiden above a plan with fortifications and the retreat of the besiegers; in the foreground the burning redoubt of Zoeterwoude within the inscription.
