About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: Clio, depicted as a female figure holding a pen and a half-unrolled piece of parchment with an inscription, stands before a seated, helmeted Minerva, who holds a coat of arms in her left hand and points with her right hand to a radiant sun within a border; lower section: signature. Reverse: inscription above a crowned coat of arms, within an oak and laurel branch tied into a wreath.
