About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: Busts of two men within legend. Reverse: Crowned woman, representing Academy, holds Minerva statuette in left and laurel wreath in right hand; around her four women, representing Theology, Jurisprudence, Medicine and Philosophy; before her sits History, who writes on a half-unrolled piece of paper within rays and legend; edge: two shields connected by ribbon and signature.
