About this work
Oval bronze suspension badge with suspension eye and ring. Obverse: Winged Victory with a palm branch in her right hand and the standard of the Regiment Hessen-Darmstadt in her left, standing on a pedestal while trampling a naked man lying on the ground; in the background, a view of the Palace of Soestdijk within an inscription. Reverse: Crowned coat of arms between orange and oak branches on a pennant, with an inscription above a cloth bearing an inscription.
