About this work
One-sided lead mark weight. Obverse: four stamps; top: three herrings placed one above the other; bottom: letter H; in stamps on the left and right: year. Reverse: blank. Skippers had to purchase such a weight when entering the port of Enkhuizen to cover the costs of the lantern on the so-called Danish Head at the harbor entrance.
