About this work

Somewhat oval, one-sided lead token with holes in the side containing remnants of rope. Obverse: in a round stamp: woman with Mercury's staff in her left hand and leaning with her right arm on a bale; in the background: a ship within an inscription and a pearl border. Reverse: blank.
