Obverse: Crowned woman, representing the city of Amsterdam, stands with oar in right hand and wreath in left hand before a pedestal, on which a laurelled bust stands; on pedestal: lyre, painter's palette with brushes and engraving needle; behind her: chair, of which backrest is decorated with crowned shield, draped with garlands; edge: signature. Reverse: Blank field under laurel wreath illuminated by a radiant star within legend.
