About this work

Brass medal. Obverse: Aesculapius leaning with his right hand on a staff with a snake and with his left hand under his cloak, standing between two vases with plants on a pedestal; in the background a wall of a building within an inscription. Reverse: Crowned coat of arms between two cornucopias filled with abundance above an ointment spatula, around which a snake coils, lying on a pedestal with an inscription within an inscription.
