Handwritten petition with the names of 287 Amsterdam citizens, merchants and brokers to the city council of Amsterdam for a ban on the establishment of Wind Companies in the city. On the third page an explanation regarding the legality and expected benefits of the project of the Assurance Company of the United Netherlands founded by Jan Werner Meynert Schagen, signed by 34 Amsterdam merchants, July 10, 1720. Double-folded sheet written on three pages. Belongs to the group of printed items added to the series Tableau of Folly with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Stock Trade of 1720.
