About this work
On the cartes-de-visite from left to right, top to bottom: a woman with a nest of amorini, three putti two of whom are picking fruit while the third holds a swan, King Wilhelm at Gravelotte and Prince Bismarck. The Amorettennest in the upper left is attributed to Thorwaldsen, below the sculpture in the lower left corner the name Steiner is written in pencil, and below the portrait medallion in the lower right corner the name Otto Meijer.
