About this work

Street in or near Buitenzorg (present-day Bogor), West Java. It was the capital of Indonesia during the English colonial period under the administration of Thomas Stamford Raffles (1781–1826) and was used by the Dutch as the capital of the Dutch East Indies during the dry season. Bogor is located 54 km south of Jakarta.
