Splügen is a town and municipality on the Hinter-Rhein in the Swiss canton of Graubünden and the main town in the Rheinwald, Switzerland. The village lies at 1450 m altitude at the foot of the Splügen Pass, a pass already used since Roman times as a trade route to Italy.
