Group of 61 photographs of Egypt and Syria collected by photographer Richard Polak. The majority of these photographs were exhibited together with other photographs collected during his travels at the Rotterdamsche Kunstkring (1895), Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam (1897-1898?) and Societeit 't Collegie in Kampen (date still unknown). Eleven photographs (RP-P-1997-28-51 to RP-P-1997-31-60), taken on a later trip by Polak's travel companion Mr. L. de Bruyn, were later added to the collection.
