About this work
The deceased Hegeso, daughter of Proxenos, hands over her jewelry to her servant. Part of a group of photographs collected by photographer Richard Polak during his travels. This photomechanical print was exhibited together with other photographs collected on his travels at the Rotterdamsche Kunstkring (1895), Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam (1897-1898?) and Societeit 't Collegie in Kampen (date as yet unknown).
