About this work

Landscape with a meadow in the foreground, on the right the oil mill De Sint Willibrordus, nicknamed De Verdwaalde Boer (1669–1938), and a few houses. On the left, tall trees, small houses by the water, and a group of people in silhouette. In 1892, the mill was converted to a smock mill. In November 1938, it was demolished to the level of the base. It stood in Zaandam, on the east side of 't Kalf, a hamlet in Zaandam.
