About this work

Photo album by an amateur photographer with 222 photos distributed over one hundred pages, including views of cities in northern France and the World's Fair of 1900 in Paris. 196 photos are daylight gelatin silver prints, 25 are developed gelatin silver prints, and one is a daylight collodion silver print. Six photos are loose at the back of the album. Most photos date from between 1895 and 1900, but the loose photos at the back are from a later period (up to ca. 1930). The maker of one photo is known, namely the Belgian photographer Jacques Prévot, but the photographer of the other 221 photos is anonymous.
