About this work
Photo album in a reddish-brown cover with a copper lock. The front and back are decorated with a geometric motif in relief. The endpapers are of changeant paper. The album contains twelve leaves with gilded edges, each with a framed passe-partout. The album was purchased empty by collector L.J. Hartkamp and filled by him with twelve cartes-de-visite. These are views of (presumably) students in historical costumes.
