From the collection of Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Free to download, adapt and use — no permission needed.
Photo album in brown binding, the corners and the bookbinding are decorated with lines in gold stamping. The endpapers are of changeant paper. The album contains 32 leaves with 121 photographs. These are mainly images of sights in England, such as city, village and street views, landscapes, country houses, churches and their interiors, castles and ruins. In addition, some images from France with similar themes. Almost all photographs have an English inscription. The album pages are arranged by date, starting with the year 1898 and ending in 1900. Presumably, this binding was part of several related photo albums, as evidenced by the inscription at the top of the last page '(1901 continued in Vol IV.)'.
