The young Louis XV sits on a throne. He wears a hat with feathers and a royal mantle trimmed with ermine. In his right hand, he holds a scepter. On the table beside him lie a crown and a scepter. Behind him, a drapery with fleur-de-lys. The scene is framed in an ornamental border. Below the portrait, the name, birth date, and coronation date of Louis XV. Below that, a four-line panegyric in French.
