About this work
The Tower of Babel collapses and the inhabitants try to flee from the falling debris. In the foreground in the middle left lies Nimrod, the king of Babel on the ground. In the sky a scroll with a motto in Dutch, right a cloud with a reference to Genesis 14, this must be Genesis 11.
