About this work
On an Egyptian beach, the corpse of Pompey is burned on a pyre, after he was beheaded upon arrival. His head will later be presented to Caesar. On the water, ships and a skiff with four figures. Upper right: fol. 56, 2 parts. Print used in a book by Lambert van den Bos with a total of twenty prints by Arnold Houbraken.
