Allegory on Gustav Willem Baron van Imhoff, Governor of the Dutch East Indies. A Female Personification Sits Next to a Pedestal with the Portrait of the Governor. She Holds a Palm Branch and a Snake Biting Its Own Tail. Next to Her Lies a Cornucopia. The Frame with an Irregular Shape Is Crowned by the Coat of Arms of the Man with a Banner on Which the Letters VOC (Dutch East India Company) Are Readable. Under the Representation Stands a Dutch Panegyric by Hendrik Snakenburg.
