About this work
With the help of his fellow monks and his sisters Thomas flees from the prison. In a basket he is lowered down through the window by a rope. Print from a series of 30 prints depicting the life story of Thomas of Aquino. The prints, after designs by and published by Otto van Veen, were made by C. Boel, E. van Paenderen, C. Galle and G. Swanenburgh.
