About this work
A long procession of riders and carriages crosses a bridge towards the city of Lisbon. To the left lie the city walls. The carriage of Edward Montagu as ambassador of England in the lower right corner. In the middle above is a coat of arms. The print is part of a series on the journey of Catherine of Braganza from Portugal to London, where she married Charles II of England in 1662.
