About this work
A richly dressed gentleman shoots a bear in the back from his horse. Another gentleman, also on horseback, spears the beast with a lance. Dogs and servants with spears also attack the animal. The bear bites one of the men in the leg. In the bushes, a cub hides. In the background, a second bear is being driven.
