View of the East India Shipyard at Balkengat in Middelburg, seen from the ship De Bot, 1778. With various ships under construction or in repair in docks. In the inscription the titles in Dutch and French and a four-line verse. In the center the admiralty mark of the VOC chamber of Middelburg.
