About this work
A young woman, half-length, her head turned towards the young man on her right, her left hand on the chest of the old man on her left. The latter offers her money: he holds a purse, coins lie in front of the young woman on the table. Death stands far right behind the old man, holding an hourglass. Below the image a two-line Dutch inscription.
