About this work

Summer (Aestas) personified by a naked man seen from the back holding a sheaf of corn under his arm, with in the background a landscape in which farmers are mowing the corn. Representation in an ornamental oval cartouche. At the top the zodiac signs belonging to summer: Virgo, Cancer and Leo.
