About this work
A naked child sits on a skull and looks into a convex mirror held in his right hand. He holds a rose in his left hand. From a vase on a rock, smoke rises. To the left behind the child three ears of corn, the seeds of one ear falling to the ground. In front of the child a second skull and to the right a rose bush.
