About this work

The three singers in an open window is a satire on the literary gatherings of the Chambers of Rhetoric. The rhomboid blazon under the window refers to this; normally this shield carried the coat of arms of the Chambers of Rhetoric. Also the wine jug can be associated with them, the wine brought inspiration for their activities.
