About this work

A devil shows Christ a stone and asks him to turn the stone into bread as a sign of Christ's divinity (Matthew 4:1-11). On a distant mountain top, the devil shows Christ all the kingdoms of the world to tempt him. The print bears a Latin inscription. It is part of a series on the Life of Christ.
