About this work
The inscription Spaarnwoude was added by the publisher in this state. Not all location indications on the landscapes in this series are correct but in this case the church tower of Spaarnwoude is clearly recognizable. The lines with which the clouds in the sky are indicated are comparable to the adjustments that Hondius made to the title print for this series.
