About this work
To the left on the beach, near a wooden hut, a group of fishermen has gathered sharing a meal. To the right drives a covered wagon with a figure and two dogs. Over the beach drives a carriage drawn by four horses. On the water lie various barges. The print is made after a painting by Adriaen van de Velde in the Mauritshuis, The Hague.
