About this work
Bacchus in his chariot drawn by leopards, accompanies Vulcanus who returns backwards on a donkey to Olympus where Juno and Jupiter welcome him. Under the clouds the island of Lemnos, where he arrived when he was thrown from Olympus by Jupiter.
