About this work
A shepherd turns into a wild olive tree, after he has mocked dancing nymphs. In the foreground, two hunting nymphs with a dog, while the captured game lies on the ground next to them. In the middle, four dancing nymphs, left a woman with a tambourine and two satyrs. Illustration of the story of Ovid, Metamorphoses, book XIV, fable VIII.
