Church Father Gregory

St. Pope Gregory I, seated in a church vault. He wears the papal vestments and his papal tiara lies next to him on a bench. Near his head floats a dove (the Holy Spirit), the personal attribute of St. Gregory. His writings were inspired by God. An open book before Gregory bears the name Homilae (sermons). A closed book on the ground bore the name Dialogorum, but this is scratched out. The two titles were the most important works of Gregory. The print has a Latin inscription. The series concerns the four Church Fathers.
