About this work
On a marketplace people gather with lanterns and candles. Through the revenge of the sorcerer Virgil the fire in all of Rome has been extinguished. To get new fire the inhabitants must fetch the fire from Lucretia's naked buttocks. She had humiliated Virgil by letting him hang in a basket in front of her window all night. Now he humiliates her before the people.
