About this work
Christ preaches in the temple of his birthplace, Nazareth. He stands on a platform and has just returned a thick book containing the Holy Scripture to a temple servant. In the temple, men and women are present. An old man leaning on a staff stands directly before him, waiting for Christ's explanation. Below the image, a Latin Bible verse from Luke 4.
